LIFE AT DUNSTON PARK FARM
We are proud to have developed a first-class equestrian centre, equipped to the highest standard. The centre and stabling is secure, alarmed and monitored by a 24hr CCTV system. Below is an overview of our facilities - if you have any questions, please get in touch.
We are proud to offer some of the best training facilities in the area. Outside you and your horse can ride in a 20 x 60m floodlit arena with an all-weather surface, and training mirror while spectators enjoy the view from the judge's box, Then on rainy days, you can retreat to the 20 x 40m indoor area. This has a waxed surface, training mirrors and a Bluetooth sound system. In addition to this, we also have a 20m lunge pen with an all-weather surface.
Stables at Dunston Park Farm are light, clean and airy. They are all purpose built and one of two styles - either an open view or American barn - dependant on your horse's needs. Stables are mucked out with our Purple Packer (the only one in the country) and we try to keep all our horses active and engaged by switching between a day and night stable or making sure they stretch their legs on our Monarch 5-horse horse walker.
Turn out at Dunston Park Farm is second to none. With over 40 acres of double electric fenced paddocks, we take great care in ensuring our fields are maintained to the highest standard. Your horse's field will be chosen specifically for them based on their temperament and needs. In addition to grass turn out, we also have an all weather, winter turn out pen allowing your horse to stretch their legs all year round.
Whether you are competing internationally or riding at home, your horse's nutrition should be top of the priority list. With year's of experience, Philip is an expert in horse nutrition and specialises in conditioning and wellbeing. A true perfectionist, he takes great pride in balancing happiness and energy with weight and performance and goes as far as making all the hay and haylage for the yard!
On the yard, we have a secure staff room and tack room with a communal area and mini kitchen. In addition to this, there is a private changing room and plenty of storage for rugs, grooming kits, travelling boots and more. We have a large tarmacked carpark for day to day parking and a separate, easily accessible hardstanding area for lorries and trailers. Electric hook up can be provided if needed. All is on CCTV.
Our team is made up of a number of highly qualified staff. Working alongside Philip and Sonia is Natalie Hardy. Having been the head groom at Dunston Park Farm for over 19 years Nat knows the yard like the back of her hand and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team.
